Mission and Values

What We Believe

Our Mission:

To Love God, To Love People, and To Make Disciples

Our Vision:

To be a Healthy Biblical Community that brings the Light of Jesus into our communities through the foundational truths of God's Word, Spirit-filled worship, and fervent prayer.

Our Purpose:

The purpose of Vine and Branch Church is to be a disciple-making church: living by faith in Jesus Christ as we obey His Great Commission and Great Commandment.

Our Core Values:

We value Bible-centered preaching and teaching. We believe only the Word of God has power to transform us from individuals separated from God by sin to Christlike persons. Matthew 28:19, 20; 1 Corinthians 1:17, 18; 2 Timothy 3:15-17

We value Godly servant leaders. We believe that those who lead in the church should have the mind of Christ who came not to be served but to serve. Matthew 20:28; Mark 10:45

We value Christian Education. We believe that Christian Education draws out and develops the individual gifts given by God to each person and imparts and develops those special graces, general virtues and general items of knowledge to be communicated from God to every person, in accordance with Jesus Christ the incarnate Word of God and in consonance with Scripture as the written Word of God. John 14:6; 2 Timothy 3:14-17

We value strong families. We believe that marriage and family are gifts of God that will thrive as the Scriptures directives are followed in each. Ephesians 5:22-6:3; Colossians 3:18-21

We value intercessory prayer. We believe it is the responsibility and privilege of Christians to pray for others. 1 Timothy 2:1-4; James 5:16

We value committed Christians. We believe the Christian life is a journey that results in increasing Christ-likeness. Matthew 28:20; 2 Peter 3:18

We value people. We believe that all people should be valued because they are created by God and have had redemption provided by Christ. Genesis 1:26; John 3:16

We value praise and worship. We believe that God is pleased with those who worship Him with their heart (feelings) and minds. We further believe we were made to worship. Psalm 147:11; Matthew 22:37, 38; John 4:24; Hebrews 10:25
