The essence of this Bible study approach is this:

  1. Welcome – share – pray together.
  2. Read a passage of Scripture together (in different translations if possible).
  3. Take turns retelling the text orally to better understand what it says.
  4. Reflect on these 4 questions:
  5.   What do these verses say about God?
  6.   What do these verses say about people?
  7.   What should I start or stop doing in response to the text?
  8.  Who is someone I will share these discoveries with this week?

Sunday’s Comin’ (5/31/2020)

Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Congratulations to Jackie and Stanley Oliver.  Abigail (Oliver) and Conor had a precious baby boy on Monday. Charlotte is excited by having a new baby brother. I am so blessed to stay here this week as they get settled in.  God is so good!  See you next week. Miss you all.    Jackie Oliver

Praise God.  Our daughter Danielle has completed her doctorate in audiology. She is now our Dr. Danielle Acosta, AuD. We also were informed that at the end of this year we will be Grandparents again. Nannie and Pop are very happy. Praise our Lord for all of the blessings He keeps pouring out. Love and Miss our Church family.  Dottie and Jim Fiore

Please pray for Al Hudz as he begins his long drive to his new job in Texas. May the Lord fill him to overflowing, and provide safe and easy travel each day.

Join us for an OUTDOOR PRAYER/PRAISE gathering at VBC on Wednesday, June 3, at 7:00 pm.

The gathering will be held on the back lawn near the playground. We love each other and have great respect for all those still on the front lines of this current pandemic. We want to ensure  each other’s safety and show respect for our community. For these reasons, we are asking everyone to follow these simple safety procedures.

  1. If you feel ill please stay home until you feel better.
  2. Please wear a mask at all times for this event.
  3. Please refrain from any contact with others.
  4. When you join our prayer circle, please maintain a 6-foot physical distance from others.
  5. Only bring children that will be able to participate and stand by your side for the entire 45-minute event.

Thank you for your cooperation.  It is important that we show our neighbors we respect their safety in this crisis.

VBC Meetings Update:

We are conducting some of our small group studies and ministry meetings in person at VBC with appropriate safety protocols. We will continue to use  Zoom video conferencing for those who wish to continue to join that way.  We will continue to produce recorded Services and Sunday School teachings.  We have several prayer teams that are beginning to make rounds to encourage you. They will remain outside and at an appropriate distance. They will call first to make an appointment.

Reach out to someone in the VBC Family and say “Hello”.

Our Re-Launch Team is meeting weekly to plan the course forward and will keep you informed of any changes.

  1. What do these verses say about God?
  2. What do these verses say about people?
  3. What should I start or stop doing in response to the text?
  4. Who is someone I will share these discoveries with this week?
