Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. 1 Chronicles 29:11

Dear VBC Family,

We are so excited to worship with you this week. This week Pastor Ed will continue our series from the Gospel of John, Chapter 5, titled “I Have a Question for You”.  Join us to see what the question asks and to ponder how you would respond.

You can connect to us via our website at or our VBC YouTube channel. Please use our online connection card to drop us a note and let us know how you are doing.  You can also share any needs, prayer requests, or a spiritual decision you made. The connection card can be accessed through our VBC website or the Church Center app.

Special Worship Experience this Sunday

Join us for a special online Sunday Worship Service on Sunday, June 7 at 10:00 am. This week we are trying a new worship experience with an interactive small group prayer time.

To join, sign into the Zoom call using the information below. Please connect just before 10 a.m. on Sunday. The video worship service will begin at that timer. When it is time for prayer, each worshipper will automatically be moved into a small prayer group.  This will allow us to see each other, share prayer needs, and pray together.  After a few minutes together, everyone will be returned to the main service video to finish worship.

The links for the Sunday Worship Service on our VBC website and YouTube Channel will be sent out as usual.

VBC Meetings Update:

We are conducting some of our small group studies and ministry meetings in person at VBC with appropriate safety protocols. We will continue to use Zoom video conferencing for those who wish to continue to join that way. We will continue to produce recorded Services and Sunday School teachings. We have several prayer teams that are beginning to make rounds to encourage you. They will remain outside and at an appropriate distance. They will call first to make an appointment.

Reach out to someone in the VBC Family and say “Hello”.

Our Re-Launch Team is meeting weekly to plan the course forward and will keep you informed of any changes.

Adult Bible Study: Pastor Robin and Kelly R. are leading the “Signs of the Times” study on Sunday mornings.
A video teaching will be posted on the VBC website and YouTube channel.
Those who want to discuss these ideas can join a Zoom call on Sundays at 6:30 p.m. using the link:

1. Please let us know if we can help you in any way. Contact us if you need groceries, help with shopping or have prayer needs.
2. Kids don’t forget to join Katie on Facebook LIVE Monday through Friday at 9:30 am for her Daily Bible moments.
3. Start or join a Discovery Bible Study.

A Discovery Bible Study is a simple study that requires no preparation. It can be used to empower small groups and families to have their own time of Bible study together. It is also a great way to connect with someone outside the VBC Family.

The essence of this Bible study approach is to read a passage of Scripture together, and then reflect on four questions

  1. What do these verses say about God?
  2. What do these verses say about people?
  3. What should I start or stop doing in response to the text?
  4. Who is someone I will share these discoveries with this week?

The next Together Family Conference online event will be held on Sunday, June 21, at 7 pm

The Lifetouch Picture Directory photograph sessions have been re-scheduled. Family pictures will be taken on September 23 and September 24 from 2-9 pm.

Continue to pray for all those who are sick and suffering from the Covid19 virus.
Continue to pray for those whose livelihoods have been affected by the many restrictions imposed on them.
Reach out to someone in the VBC Family to check on them, offer encouragement, and ask if they need anything.
Reach out to a neighbor, co-worker, or friend, and give them hope through Jesus.
Get connected in one of our online groups and join us on Sunday so we can worship Jesus together.

Download the ChurchCenter App. This will allow you to connect to all things VBC including updating your personal information, contacting VBC by phone, email, or website. It will also allow you to give online and access your giving record. You can now fill out the VBC connection card to communicate spiritual decisions and prayer requests.

Our God is so worthy of our praise!

Join us on Sunday as we gather together to fulfill our mission to “Love God, love others, and make disciples…” in Jesus’ name.

Love you all. You are such a blessing!

Ed and Robin
