Dear VBC Family –

Hope you’ll join us this Sunday as Pastor Ed continues our study of Paul’s 1st Letter to the Thessalonians.  He will encourage the church to fulfill the ROLE that ALL Believers are supposed to fulfill – the role of __________ . (you’ll have to come Sunday to get the answer  🙂

Also – this Sunday we are delighted to share in the Child DEDICATION of Miss Brynn Bressler, welcome some very special friends of VBC who will share Special Music, as well as partake in the LORD’S SUPPER.

What a GREAT DAY to come and WORSHIP the LORD !

Note:  Last Sunday we celebrated FREEDOM SUNDAY with our of Brother and Sister FM churches around the world.  FREEDOM SUNDAY is a special day set aside to remind us all that there are still many people around the world held in captivity and bondage, and as Free Methodists we need to continue to champion FREEDOM FOR ALL !   Several of you asked how you can still contribute to the SPECIAL OFFERING in support of this year’s “freedom” initiatives – just make your checks out to VBC with a note “For Freedom Sunday.”

Hope to see you all on Sunday as we gather together to WORSHIP Him who is WORTHY !!

We are in need of PAPER TOWEL TUBES for a Children’s Church project.  Please bring on Sunday  🙂

Diakoneo Day will be held on Sunday, October 21st !!

Diakoneo (to “serve”) is a day set aside where we take our regular Sunday Worship time and go out and serve our community !  Rita Demayo and Tom Nolan are coordinating a number of projects that ALL will be able to assist with.  It not only shows our community the LOVE of JESUS(Jesus said, I did not come to be served, but to SERVE others…) – it’s also a wonderful opportunity to get to know your fellow VBC-ers.

Note schedule change:  We will have a time of Worship for all from 9:00 – 10:00 – then head out into the community from 10-12:30 – and join back at VBC for lunch together !!  (We will NOT have Sunday School that day.)

If you know of someone in our community that could use a little help (yard work, small repair, cleanup, winter prep, …) see Rita or Tom asap.
