Dear VBC Family –

Robin and I are headed to Alaska on Saturday, Aug. 25 and will return on Sept. 6th (unless we decide to become Alaskan Bush People). Thank you ALL for the opportunity to get away for some respite and recharging.  We will surely miss you all – and ask for your prayers upon VBC and us as we travel.  We know you will be GREATLY BLESSED by the guest speakers that will be sharing God’s Word over these next two Sundays !!

In our absence our VBC Delegate Frank DeMayo should be contacted for any emergencies and other needs.  You can reach him on his cell 796-6081 or email  Allison will be checking messages and handle any administrative needs.  Feel free to call her home (436-6996), leave a message at church (292-5227), or email her at

This week our guest speaker will be Pieter van den Beukel from Life In Messiah Ministries, who is visiting here from NYC and staying in our parsonage while he conducts outreach ministry to our many Jewish visitors.  He will share about his evangelistic efforts, and challenge us all to evangelize those whom God puts in our paths.

Sure hope you’ll come and allow the Holy Spirit to transform you through God’s Holy Word as we praise and worship Him who is worthy of all our praise !!

We are SO EXCITED to announce that SUNDAY SCHOOL will resume on September 9th !!

It will be held from 9:00 – 10:15am and there will be classes for Children/Youth/ADULTS.

Class breakdowns:  Pre K  – K;   1st – 3rd;   4th  – 5th ;    Junior High 6th -7th ;  and Senior High 9th -12th

Pastor Robin and Ralph Bressler will team up to lead the ADULTS through a SeedBed Bible Series on the Gospel of Mark.

  1. We are still in need of another TEACHER for our kids Sunday School program.
  2. We are in need of NURSERY WORKERS to assist with our teacher’s children during the Sunday School hour on a rotating basis.  If you attend the adult class this would be a GREAT WAY to show your appreciation for our dedicated children’s teachers  🙂

See Robbi Philips for more info.
