Dear VBC Family –

Sunday’s Coming !!

We are continuing to focus on our PERSONAL PREPARATION for Easter week.  This week Pastor Ed will share some very convicting  words of Jesus recorded in Matthew 23 – and ask us all to consider the choices before us – WOE or WHOA !?

In addition – we are excited to share a Missionary Moment with updates on the four World Missionary Families we support at VBC.

Unless you want to be VERY LATE to church on Sunday – remember to SET YOUR CLOCKS AHEAD one hour before you go to bed.

(We’ll prepare for a “second seating at 11:30 for all who forget  🙂

We have SO MUCH to be THANKFUL FOR – make it a point NOW to come together this week to Worship Him !

SUNDAY SCHOOL for ALL AGES continues at 9:00am.

ADULTS:  We will begin the long-awaited EPIC of EDEN Study of RUTH this week !!!  You won’t want to miss this !!

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday !!

***  MEN –

We need some help right after church this Sunday to REMOVE the existing divider stalls and toilets in the men’s and ladies restrooms to make way for the new floors and stalls .  We’re excited to see the next phase of the restroom renovations coming !!  Thank you for your continued patience as we undergo some needed destruction/construction.  The finished product is almost here  🙂

TWO OTHER GREAT OPPORTUNITIES this week !! (and it’s NOT TOO LATE to JOIN IN !!)

Ladies Night Out MOVIE:  ONLY GOD CAN – Friday March 9th @ VBC – 7:00pm – FREE !!!  (snacks included  🙂

(Sponsored by the Daughters of the King Women’s Ministry of VBC.)

Only God Can is a powerful thought-provoking film highlighting the realization that “All things are possible with God” and with faith we can overcome anything.   The movie explores the lifetime bond of five friends struggling through life”s challenges that become more difficult with each passing year. It brings to light the relationships the women have with each other and the relationship they lack with God.  The movie depicts real-life situations that many of us can identify with. One character is an alcoholic, another is having an Internet affair, and another struggles with her life as a single mother trying to make ends meet. The relationships between these women are relatable as are their issues.

Note:  The Daughters of the King would like to help the Martins with dinners.  Email Rita DeMayo (ritademayo@gmail.com) or call her at 796-6078 if you would like to supply a meal.  THANK YOU ALL for loving your church family as you do !

Movie:  Tortured for Christ – Sunday night, March 11th at 6:30pm.

This movie portrays the dramatic testimony of Pastor Richard Wurmbrand as told in the international bestseller Tortured for Christ.  In 1945, Communists seized power and a million Russian troops poured into his beloved Romania.  Pastor Wurmbrand was captured by the secret police and held as “Prisoner Number 1.”   14 years of unthinkable torture in Communist prison could not break his faith.

To purchase tickets go to the VBC website (www.vineandbranchchuch.org) and you will be directed to the movie website.  Tickets are only $10.00 and include a copy of the book !  (Proceeds from the movie will support the persecuted church.)  Be sure to register and invite a friend or two …
