Sunday’s Comin’ (12/31/17)

This Sunday we celebrate the last Sunday of 2017 !!  Pastor Ed will challenge us to consider what really excites us about a NEW Year !?
We hope you will join us as we send out the “old” and bring in the “NEW” this Sunday !!
 
Important Reminder – there will NOT be Sunday School this Sunday the 31st.
SUNDAY SCHOOL for ALL AGES will resume on January 7th at 9:00am.
FOOD HELP needed:  Yesterday a WSS family lost their home to fire.  They are staying in a hunting lodge, and have said that any prepared meals would be a huge help at this time.  If you can make a meal and bring it on Sunday we would make sure it gets to them.

Sunday’s Comin’ (12/24/17)

Dear VBC Family –
 
This Sunday we celebrate the fourth Sunday of Advent as we inch closer and closer to the celebration of Christ’s coming as a babe in a manger – and the future coming as Christ returns !  
This week we will light the candle of PEACE.  Pastor Robin will challenge us to “Follow the Star that Leads to Peace !” 
Come and discover PEACE anew this Sunday !!
 
Also, this Sunday we will have a special treat as our children and young teens will lead us in a very special music program which will surely spur us all on to focus our hearts on Jesus this Christmas !  You won’t want to miss this !!
SUNDAY SCHOOL for ALL AGES will continue 9:00am this week, however there will NOT be Sunday School on Sunday the 31st.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
 
We hope you will plan to join us on Sunday evening for our Christmas Eve Candle-lighting Service at 7pm.  This will be a wonderful celebration of Christ’s coming as the Light of the World !  This is a great Service to bring your friends and family members to !

New Members Join in December

On Sunday, December 3, 2017, the church added 8 new members. Congratulations to the following people who were wholeheartedly welcomed into Membership at Vine and Branch Church, a Free Methodist Congregation !  Thank you all for loving Jesus and willingly serving Him and others.

Sunday’s Comin’ (12/17/17)

Dear VBC Family –
 
This Sunday we celebrate the third Sunday of Advent – a time of preparation for the coming of the King (now and future).  
This week we will light the candle of JOY.  Pastor Ed will challenge us to adopt an attitude of “JOY for the Journey” !  
Come and discover JOY anew this Sunday !!
 
Also, this Sunday we will have a special treat as several of our Young Teens will be doing a special musical selection to spur us all on to focus our hearts on Jesus this Christmas !
SUNDAY SCHOOL for ALL AGES will resume at 9:00am.    Come and join in as we explore the GREAT TRUTHS of God’s Word !!
Our Children’s Sunday School will be practicing for a very special Christmas musical presentation for the 10:30 Christmas Eve Worship Service.
You will not want to miss that !

JOIN us for A NIGHT in BETHLEHEM on Sat. Dec. 16th from 4-6pm !!
The Big event is almost here and you will be AMAZED at the transformation of our Sanctuary into the Town of Bethlehem !!!  
We sure hope you have invited lots of people to experience Christmas like never before !!  It is our desire to bring the GOOD NEWS of JESUS front and center this Christmas season !  THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who gave SO MUCH of themselves to make this possible.  We are convinced that God will use this event to make an ETERNAL DIFFERENCE !!  Join us in prayer for the Holy Spirit to prepare hearts to receive the GREATEST GIFT of all this Christmas  🙂
We’re also really looking forward to our Christmas Eve Candle-lighting Service on Sun. 24th at 7pm.

Sunday’s Comin’ (12/10/17)

Dear VBC Family –
 
This Sunday we celebrate the second Sunday of Advent – a time of preparation for the coming of the King (now and future).  This week we will light the candle of LOVE.  Pastor Robin will call us to “Folllow the star to Love.”  Come and discover LOVE anew this Sunday !!
 
****   Our Annual Society Meeting will be held THIS SUNDAY Dec. 9th at 9am in the Sanctuary.  ALL are welcome to attend.  We will not have Sunday School – however there will be a Children’s program for all kids upstairs in the Fellowship Hall with Mrs. Dowe.

We are looking forward to two special music performances by our VBC kids/teens on the 17th and the 24th.  Be sure to mark those special dates !)

There a few last details I would like to share with you. 
 
1) Sanctuary break-down will happen this Sunday after our Worship Service.  Hope MANY of you will help stack/remove chairs !!
2) We need LOTS of COOKIES for this event ! (Reply to this email if you are willing to BAKE  🙂
3) We still need one more easy pop-up TENT and several fake green plants.  REPLY if you can help  🙂
4) Do you want to help decorate?    We are working on Mon, Tues, and Wed from 4pm – 6 pm each night.   Feel free to come out and help if you have time.

Looking for a great evening out ?  Join us as we head to see Pastor Paul Nilsen (from the Free Methodist Church in Liv. Manor) perform the play JOB:  I Know My Redeemer Lives ! at LightHouse Ministries this Saturday (9th) at 6pm.  LightHouse Ministries is located at 23 Triangle Road in Liberty.  There will be a free-will offering taken.
We will have our Christmas Eve Candle-lighting Service on Sun. 24th at 7pm.  This is a wonderful Service to bring your friends and family members to.

Sunday’s Comin’ (12/3/17)

VBC Family –
 
This Sunday begins the Season of Advent – a time of preparation for the coming of the King (now and future).  We will have the Patterson Family light the Advent Candle of HOPE.  Pastor Ed will speak on the HOPE that we have through Christ – REAL Hope – ready and available for ALL !!  Come and replenish your “Hope” supply this Sunday !!
 
SUNDAY SCHOOL for ALL AGES will continue at 9:00am.    Come and join in as we explore the GREAT TRUTHS of God’s Word !!   We are looking forward to two special music performances by our VBC kids/teens on the 17th and the 24th.  Be sure to mark those special dates !
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
 
Please bring in your WMI Giving Calendar gifts this Sunday.  We will send those out immediately so desperately needed funding will reach the special project areas still in need of support to finish the year.

Join us and INVITE a FRIEND to A Night in Bethlehem at VBC on Saturday Dec. 16th from 4-6pm.  THANK YOU to all who are working incredibly hard to make this a wonderful outreach opportunity.  YOU can help by bringing a new family or two … along with you ! 
 
We will have our Christmas Eve Candle-lighting Service on Sun. 24th at 7pm.  This is a wonderful Service to bring your friends and family members to.
 
Hot off the presses – we will be hosting the Robert’s Wesleyan College chorale on Monday, May 7th at 7pm.  The RWC chorale is a 38 member group of very gifted college students who will Bless us with a wonderful night of song.  Plan to attend !  Also – you will even have the opportunity to house a pair of students for the evening 🙂  More info. coming soon.
