There is SO MUCH going on and coming up to help ENCOURAGE YOU and GROW YOU in YOUR FAITH !!  Sure hope you’ll come and BE BLESSED !!

UPCOMING EVENTS:

The Ball Brothers concert at VBC is TOMORROW (Friday) and it’s NOT TOO LATE to join us !!!
We sure hope you will join us for this GREAT evening of Praise/Worship at 7pm.
Tickets will be available at the door – so come and bring a friend!!

We will be hosting a Home-Going Celebration in honor of Mary Mahoney on Saturday, September 9th at 1:00pm.  Our VBC Family will be hosting a luncheon after the Service.  We have the main dish already covered – we need some cut up fresh fruit, veggie platters, and LOTS of DESSERTS  🙂  Please reply if you are able to help – and let me know what you will bring.  THANK YOU !!

Sunday School for ALL ages will resume on September 10th at 9am.  Hope to see the WHOLE FAMILY !!!
Some of our home Connection Groups will also resume that week.  (More details coming !!)

We are VERY EXCITED to launch the CLEAN, SOBER, and SAVED Program created by Tracy and Darryl Strawberry.  (Yes – THAT Darryl Strawberry !)
This is a TWO-FOLD Ministry:  One part ministers to those in need of RECOVERY right now (begins Wed. 9/20), while the 2nd part ministers to all those AFFECTED by a person in the grip of addiction either in their present or past (begins Thurs. 10/5).  For more information see Pastor Robin, this week’s bulletin, get a poster in church, or go to the CSS website at Strawberryministries.org.

We are beginning a THURSDAY MORNING OPEN PRAYER time at VBC from 7am till 8:30am.  Stop by on your way to work, or just drop in for this informal opportunity to seek God for the needs of our church, community, nation, and world.  When you come in just come down front and join those already praying – pray out as you are led – or just spend time glorifying God for his Goodness.  (This will replace the Sat. morning prayer group.)

We’re planning our 2nd Annual DIAKONEO DAY on Sunday October 1st.  We will have a Worship Service at 9am followed by going out to serve in several community projects from 10 – 12:30.  We will meet back at VBC for a quick celebration luncheon at 1pm.  More details coming.  If you know of someone who needs yard work, a minor home repair, … see pastor Ed.

Set aside Sunday, October 15th for an evangelistic and apologetics presentation at VBC by a representative from the Ravi Zacharias Ministry team.  This will surely strengthen your faith and give you more confidence in defending your Christian beliefs.  More details coming soon !

Calling all Ladies !!  Join us on Saturday, October 21st as we travel to our sister FMC in Walton for the Weathering the Storms of Life Women’s Conference.  See Pastor Robin for registration info.

Sunday’s Coming’ (8/20/17)

Dear VBC Family –

Sunday’s Coming and we’re very excited !
What kind of “sacrifices” have you made in your life ?  This week Pastor Ed will share from Romans 12 where Paul challenges Believers to be a “LIVING SACRIFICE.”  There’s a problem with “Living” sacrifices – they tend to CRAWL off the altar !  So – NO CRAWLING ALLOWED  🙂  Come and hear more about Paul’s instruction to the church this Sunday !
After-Church Social this week !!
As you’ve heard by now – this will be the last Sunday that the DiMeo’s will be with us as they’re headed south to be near family.  So we’re planning a short after-church social to say “goodbye.”  (Shhhh it’s a SECRET)  We could still use a few more goodies for the social – and we will also have a card box for cards/notes of thanks/encouragement.  Email us back if you will be bringing a goodie to share 🙂

Sunday’s Comin’ (8/6/17)

Dear VBC Family –
Last week we experienced an amazing move of God, and we look forward to even more this week as we gather to “Worship Him in Spirit and Truth !”
This Sunday Ralph Bressler will be bringing the Message as Pastors Robin and Ed are headed to Maine for the week.  Ralph will be sharing a Message titled “Facing Your Giants” using the 23rd Psalm to encourage the Saints.  “All of us have ‘giants” that are obstacles to our living a good Christian life.  We can choose to give in to them or to overcome them. If they are truly ‘giants’, we will need some help to defeat them.”

In the Pastors absence our Church Delegate (Frank DeMayo) resumes responsibility for the church.  You can contact Frank at fdemayo@cinium.com or call his cell 796-6081.  We expect to still be available via email and our phones, but it may be spotty.   If there is an emergency please contact ALL of us !!!
Sure hope you’ll come and be ENCOURAGED as we WORSHIP the Lord together !
